Our Aim
Our aim is to provide the necessary expertise and equipment for full life testing of tidal blades in order to validate designs, enable the growth of tidal blades and to reduce in the levelised cost of energy of tidal stream energy.
Objectives
Objective 1: Cutting Edge Equipment - Provide the equipment and infrastructure to test and verify large scale composite designs prior to deployment in the marine energy, oil & gas, road, rail, defence and aerospace sectors.
Objective 2: World Leading Service - Lead the development of the test processes and attain accreditations to test and verify large scale composite designs prior to deployment.
Objective 3: Develop Digital Skills – The facility will contribute the advancement of data collection skills of apprentices, contributing to the Fife region, augmenting the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region Deal & Data-Driven Innovation agendas.
